One of my
foals came up lame in July, a first experience for me. She was favoring her near
foreleg, seemingly from the shoulder. I had seen her running with reckless
abandon at times, and I assumed that that recklessness had caught up with her
and she had taken a spill.
Twelve hours at a time after I discovered she was hurt, I closed she and her dam into a stall so she would rest. I also sprayed her shoulder with Dynamite Relief, a homeopathic preparation for injuries and discomfort. I then began a twice daily routine of spraying Relief and massaging her shoulder, a routine which she seemed to thoroughly enjoy. After three days of part-day confinement, she had recovered enough that I put them back on pasture full time. She was trotting about of her own volition. After a week, I discontinued treatment as she seemed thoroughly recovered, running about as though nothing had happened. I felt quite relieved that she was well again, and I was thankful for Dynamite Relief for speeding her recovery.
